A beautiful hotel close to the old town. I only stopped here for one night in transit – unfortunately. The hotel has everything you could wish for: indoor and outdoor pool, very friendly and helpful reception, lovely quiet room with mountain view, comfortable bed, clean, cosy, modern, a generous breakfast, and just a few minutes' walk into town. Highly recommended, even for a longer stay.

The photos on the hotel's website only hint at the fantastic reality of this place. The hotel, with its impressive façade and magnificent garden, is a wonderful place to unwind. You are looked after by an always friendly and attentive service team that creates a great atmosphere without excessive formality. The generous breakfast buffet leaves nothing to be desired, and the evening 4-course menu at a sensational price is an absolute must. For food lovers, I especially recommend the Friday menu followed by the dessert buffet – simply incredible!

Extremely friendly staff throughout the hotel, very clean, excellent breakfast buffet with a huge selection, a very tasty set menu, beautiful garden with pool, very centrally located – 10 minutes to the old town, very quiet, ample parking. Simply wonderful!

From check-in to check-out, our entire stay was perfect thanks to the extremely attentive staff: the warm welcome, the helpfulness with any questions, a generous breakfast buffet on the beautiful terrace overlooking the park, a pool surrounded by blooming hydrangeas – the most wonderful short holiday in a long time. A gem. Excellent in every category. Extremely friendly staff, good breakfast buffet, a beautiful garden, perfect location. What more could you ask for? Since I prefer a shower to a bathtub, a room change was arranged without any problem.

I always love coming back to Hotel Bavaria – a wonderful gem in Merano. The food, the rooms and the pool are particularly worth highlighting. All the staff take loving care of their guests. Above all, the tranquillity is especially pleasant, and the walk into town is just a short stroll.

My thoughts keep wandering back to the wonderful stay we had from 12–15 July 2024 at this beautiful hotel. Our special praise goes to the entire hotel team. We have rarely experienced such friendliness and attentiveness. Our thanks go to the many helpers in the kitchen, the housekeeping staff, and the employees who maintained the beautiful garden. Many thanks also for the packed lunch – we were able to enjoy the delicious treats on our long journey home. We will definitely be back.
